Mint tea
“For when you're feeling bitter: take a dose of mint tea and go heavy on the sweetener.”
Ingredients
  • 2 teaspoons Chinese green tea
  • 1 large bunch of mint
  • 5 cups water
  • 3 tsp honey or rice syrup (optional)
  • 1 teapot

Timing is everything when trying to get the right look. Exercise a little patience and allow your tea to steep long enough, but not too long.

Method

Place the green tea leaves in the teapot and pour some boiling water over the top. Pour out the water as this removes some bitterness. Leave the green tea leaves in the pot and add the mint. Pour in 5 cups of boiling water, add the sweetener and replace the lid.

Allow to steep for 3 minutes then serve piping hot. Slurp away!
